Analysis of acute poisonings by some antihypertensive drugs with the use of gas chromatography/mass spectrometry

The method of analysis of some antihypertensive drugs (atenolol, bisoprolol, enalapril, metoprolol, nifedipine, propranolol) using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry which can be used for screening in clinical toxicology and allows the identification of the native substances as well as their metabolites is developed. The ability of propranolol, bisoprolol, metoprolol, atenolol, enalapril and nifedipine to form artifacts in the analysis by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry is studied. The structure of these compounds is identified, the mechanism of their formation in the injector of the chromatograph is suggested.
